They were not comparing glass bottles to plastic bottles. They were comparing glass bottles with plastic caps and a special paint as a a cap sealing (apparently there are glass bottles with plastic caps...) to plastic bottles and metal cans. As if they designed a whole study to get a specific result they wanted.

The study is quite clear about this. The attention grabbing headline is made ambiguous to make it sound like ALL glass bottles are like this. What they actually mean is

No, the same plastic caps that plastic bottles use. It's shit so they have to sluse a special sealant that is basically a liquid microplastic.
Normal metal caps are ok. And when there are some plastic inserts, like in olive oil, it's a hard plastic that doesn't leach a ton of microplastic.

Microplastics aren't even real. It's a conspiracy to get you to donate blood, which is used in Jewish blood rituals.
