I don't want chicken legs, but I also dont want disproportionately large legs

Whats the training strat to get muscular legs that aren't too big?

My friend said I can achieve this by doing Leg Press as a main Leg exercise instead of Squats, he said Leg Press will make my legs muscular, but not big

just train everything and once they become the size you want you only do maintenance work
how is this so hard to understand? your muscles won't basically become too big and when they do just don't train them for a little while they disappear pretty quickly, just like fat if you don't eat all the time
your body doesn't want muscles and fat

Just stop trying to progress once you are happy with the size.

Just train your legs hard until you have the desired size but train squats and push yourself. You are not suddenly gonna get treetrunk legs

You simply train, you get too big in a part? Stop training that part until it's the size you like, then do maintenance like working on it once every two weeks or so

The secret is to keep to one weight all the time in order to just keep the definition without growing them. Swimming has helped me a lot with getting my legs defined and fairly big, but not so big that it would fuck over my V shape.

Let me rephrase, not necessarily "big" but rather defined and definitely shows that I don't skip leg day but not so much to start in a literal leg competition. Also, both running and swimming works good for legs, while running also works out your calves and abs well. Bike is also nice but if you get addicted to it and you push more than before then you will definitely grow them.
