I have no appetite at all. I’m already low body fat, so I’m a little concerned.

Eating genuinely makes me nauseous.

Short or long term?
In the short term, losing my appetite is a first sign that I'm going to be ill, be it flu, coof or whatever else
Over longer term, my appetite usually drops significantly when I stop working out
In any case, if it's a persistent thing with no apparent cause then you should consult a doctor

I don’t want to get prescribed medication or for the situation to escalate. I’m a hypochondriac so medical intervention will probably make it worse.

How do you know you will need medicine? Maybe you have hormonal imbalance, mental issues etc.
Stop being a faggot and go to the doctor. He cant force you anyway to take medicine its your choice

You're basically the opposite of an obese person.

My cousin is like this. He's like 6% bodyfat year round, hates eating, hes in his late 20s now, been this way his whole life

He's actually going to see specialists about it finally, he thinks he may have some kind of gastric issues his whole life that he never got looked at

5’9”, 142 lbs.

I try to eat 2000 calories a day but it’s pretty difficult. I usually just eat everything at once to avoid having to do it again later. I don’t use drugs, and I get 3-6 hours of sleep usually.

I exercise 4 times a week, prioritizing chest and shoulders.

Just like weights, I think you have to progressively overload your metabolism as well, but with better food. Obv it's hard to just eat, but habitual snacks can turn to meals if you train and move around enough. It'll be hard to retain weight, but it'll be harder to burn off muscle than fat. Gainer/protein powder is gonna be your friend. Source:6ft 200lb maingainer recomping at relative weight but gaining muscle

The other anon is right, there's a good chance you'll only be prescribed a lifestyle change, maybe something like a B12 supplement or simple appetite stimulants
On another note, if there's no underlying problem and you just have naturally very low appetite (I'm the same way, though to a lesser degree than you) and you want to eat more in spite of it, to bulk for example, you can -and might end up having to- brute force the issue by simply force-feeding yourself until your body adjusts (an approach that actually works with many things). Just don't take it too far, don't make yourself puke from overeating

You also need to prioritize your sleep. 3-6 isn't shit.

Ok broski, so basically you are skeleton
I was in your shoes, no worries, here is what you do to gain weight, aka bulk
1) drink your calories, wayy easier, get some protein shakes with milk 1-2 times a day
2) eat what you like to eat, pizza, pasta, burgers sometging you like and high caloried
3) if you just want to eat more, you need to do more cardio especially swimming, you get hungry as a mf, from just 1 hours, if you dont have just do any cardio
4) eat the sweets/carbs before the protein, have icecreams, sweets before lunch
5) to have better sleep(if you are staying up to do some study etc disregard) you need to do squats and deadlifts and spend more time outside( on the sun) Stronglifts 5x5 changed my sleep after a months
Godspeed broski

I had this, I ate as little as possible because stomach acid were burning my esophagus after every meal but I thought that I was a little pussy and that everyone had that. It ended after I strated taking some sort of shittty over the counter magnesium pills that helped reduce the acidity. I took them every time I felt the burn for 3 months or something and it eventually cured everything.

I went from 180cm 53 kg to 77 kg

cont.

If you want to force yourself to gain weight, here's my strat :
find biscuits or something similar that is easy to eat (easy to hold, not messy, doesn't need cooking, easy to have a lot of in store...).
After every meal, force yourself to eat a few biscuits. It's much easier if you know how many calories are in each biscuits because you'll see progress ("I ate 2 biscuits so that's an extra 200 calories !").
After everyday, just before you go to sleep, gorge yourself on biscuits. Try to eat 4-5 biscuits (500 calories) no matter how hard it is. It doesn't matter if you have a stomachache after that since you'll be in bed anyway. You just have to pay attention that you force feed yourself just enough so that you don't throw up.

After a month or 2 of doing so you'll have trained your stomach to handle more food and can start eating less biscuits and more real food.
as said above, I was physically unable to eat more but expanded my stomach with this technique and it truly changed my life
