it's certainly possible
i used to work as a caretaker for people with brain damage and one of them was a guy who, after not getting air to his brain for 7 minutes, was a complete vegetable, except sometimes he would scream. anyway his body was always tensed up, like a suspended spasm, and he was strong as shit. to wash him we had to work 2 people to pry apart his arms and shit.
