A lot of people tend to over-indulge with carbs, and eat too much of that food group compared to other food groups. So quite a lot of people benefit from it because it makes their diet "healthier", as in better balanced.
You don't even need to cut carbs out completely, just reduce the doses.
Carbs are great for providing energy, and yet still are "empty calories", so don't lose any nutritional value by cuting them out, so compared to other food group restrctive diets, it's probably the best out there.
Cutting out protein is stupid.
Cutting out fiber is stupid.
Cutting out fat is stupid.
So just by comparison, cuttting out carbs is smart.
