decrease to 2 times a week. do bench on 1 day, ohp on the other. do rows on 1 day, pullups on the other.

On both days, do cable pushdowns and cable curls.

Calisthenics. You can choose to do weighted for muscle gains or just focus on awesome looking progressions (the latter will get you much more women)

Maintence routine/HIT
You just go harder but less often. If you half ass it you'll maintain, if you full ass it you'll grow. That's all there is to it preventing slide back is probably a bigger part of late-game lifting than growth. If you can just keep what you got anything past that will be gains.

Nothing you probably don't already know about. It's mainly swapping your compounds for machines you can feel safe going to a fuller extent of failure on and then a single accessory for whatever head in that group needs the most work. I'd probably do every other session with your barbell lifts just to make sure they're not decaying. Before switching that to every 3rd or 4th session.

They're mostly fullbodies ran with every four days as the frequency.
You can structure that any which way pplxpplx, "fullbody" a: bench squat row abs b: ohp, deads, lat pull down, glutes, just normal fullbodies. As long as lift is repeated every 4th day it's not decaying and any added intensity or loading will still elicit an adaptive response. You don't really want do it sooner than that because there's some kind neuron thing that lowers recruitment in a refractory period with high intensity. Most conventional training only banks on 80-90% strength recovery between workouts but this approach works better if a larger amount of strength is recovered which makes longer rests important even if mps is well over these things take longer. Don't try to speed it up. That's the biggest thing I can preach here is patience.

you're a man, you do what you need to do, not what's fun
You make it fun, by having friends to talk to, by changing up a split a bit, experimenting with new exercises, challenging yourself to increase weights and bettering up your diet.

Start doing Bugenhagen style training: choose an exercise you feel like maxing out on (preferably a heavy compound), work up to a heavy set to failure (<=5 reps), then hit whatever isolations you feel like for a couple of higher rep sets to failure

Thanks for taking the time to write it all out. Let's say someone doesn't care about their numbers on barbell lifts (and barbell in general) whatsoever, would you still say that barbell lifts are necessary? Because I gotta be honest, I lost interest in numbers a long time ago.

No, I mostly recommend it to alleviate anxiety. Lot of people think they're missing out when they do HIT and think they're regressing when they're actually not. So just having some kind of objective proof they can still 10 rep their 10 rep weight if not 11 or 12 rep it now is just "proofing". If you're like me and have to always have some kind of objective criteria to measure a routine by so you stick with it, it helps.

I dont know man, the man on this picture was a general of herzegovinian croats in the war in the 90s, very very intelligent man, very loyal to his nation and its people, did everything in his power to lead his people dilligently, bravely, intelligently and fearlessly, he wrote a book of 1000 pages explaining that he did not do any war crimes and he decided to take his own life out of principle because the foreigners decided to label him as a war criminal. He fought off serbs, muslims, english, god knows who else yet they got him 30 years later. Very moral man, very intelligent man.
And when i see retarded memes like this mocking him it makes me really sad

Take some time away from your routine. Go in and just do whatever you want, and make your only rules to not over or under train any muscle. I’ve been doing that for a year or so now rather than conventional splits and it’s much more enjoyable. I’ll do an exercise and then look around the gym to figure out what I want to do next. It’s better.

Yeah I got bored just going to the gym and lifting. So I started crossfit. My cf gym programs strength training cycles along with the typical crossfit workouts. I've gotten much better results than I got just going to the gym and lifting on my own and I have fun.

>take a deload week
>try lifts you don't normally do
>go for weird goals (like a 17 rep max)
or as a last resort, skip the gym entirely for a week and do something different with your free time. watch a movie, go buy something you don't need, go hiking and watch the sunrise/sunset from the trail. i find skipping the gym for a full week makes me want to go back real bad.
