Does reading a lot tire you out mentally and help you get a better sleep?

I walk and read, fairly exhausting, sort of limited by book level. Anything beyond mid tier reading level and I have to sit down. Depends what you read. If it is some gay shit, yeah, you'll get a wittle sweepy eepy but the honk shoo don't really hit until the me me mes. Sorry, lost my train of thought.
My mom reads to sleep, I prefer not. You'll know when it hits, eyes moving but no mental retention of words, whole pages pass by without memory. Good for an inconsequential book, like, I dunno, Blood Meridian.

I was more referring to reading earlier in the day in order to be able to sleep better later. Like how exercising early in the day wakes you up in the moment but then helps you be more tired later at night.

I wish I had the attention span to read enough books in order to browse that board. :/

Depends on what you read. Learning differential equations is gonna burn calories and tire you out way more than Twilight.

Try reading before bed, particularly if you fall asleep to sounds or watching videos.

Well brother, I'll to you it doesn't happen overnight. You can start whenever you want but your days are numbered, every day that passes is a day lost. Would you rather start tomorrow in perpetuity or just nutting the fuck up and begin today?
Internet Archive is a great source for older books if you don't mind digital copies (I download pdf versions of books).
