Pineapples are fruits. There's a big difference between something a plant wants you to eat (fruits to distribute seeds) and shit they don't want you to eat (seeds, grains, stems, roots) aka vegetables.
If you have no problem eating fruit and it doesn't make you feel like shit, feel free to add it to a mostly meat based diet. But if it kicks you out of ketosis you'll slow down your fat loss.

Hoping this is bait, but how can people still be spouting this nonsense? Many drug companies use vegetables to discover new drugs precisely because they *do* have nutrients which benefit us and don't exist in meat.

Fairly recently we've found out that broccoli has anti-diabetic effects, up to and including reducing the severity of fatty liver disease. And I'm not talking about an artificially-concentrated extract, no, just eating plain old broccoli. The catch is you can't stir fry it or roast it; it has to be raw or steamed/boiled.

I do long fasts (either a single 5 day fast or two 3 day fasts) each month, but on days when I'm eating I just eat whenever I'm hungry. That usually ends up being a meal every 8 hours or so.
If you want to be stricter about it you could do 16/8 or 20/4, but you might find it tough since you'll feel full for quite a few hours after a meal.

Carnivore is fine. I was pure carnivore for two years and got much healthier as a result. Basically no supplements except for D3 because I was working a night job. Lost a ton of weight and fixed long term health issues. Added in rice and veggies later to help with fitness goals.

I'm not sure I've heard of this problem but maybe you aren't used to cooking on this diet yet? It took me a few weeks of trial and error at first before I was cooking ground beef, steaks, and pork chops that weren't over / under seasoned and tasted like shit.

That's perfectly normal, it's an absurdly restrictive diet. No one expects to stay on it forever and the vast majority won't. It's better to think about it as an exercise in health and resetting your body. You'll become more aware about how your body reacts to food when you're conscious of what you're putting inside yourself, and over time you'll rethink your relationship with food. You'll lose the cravings you had for junk and sugar, and you won't feel like you're missing out on most of the foods in a modern diet. Most likely some point down the line you'll start expanding your diet back into normalcy by experimenting with what doesn't upset you, whether that's honey, fruits, some vegetables, rice, etc.

The food tastes fine when I actually eat. And to clarify, my version of carnivore is meats, poultry, seafood, eggs, and seasoning. When I have a really hard time getting something down I use a tiny bit of hot sauce or organic avocado oil mayo. No cheating other than that.
I think it's because I had too much fat on my first day which threw my body off. The thought of biting into a fatty steak makes me want to throw up, but I get over it as soon as I start eating.
And yeah, I really hope I can get rid of my "lick the plate clean" mentality that was established during my childhood. That's my top goal. After the diet, I plan to stick to just dairy, fruits, veggies, and meat, with the occasional burger and going out to eat whatever once a week.
