Doing it now. Down 12lbs and my lifts have all gone up. Granted i got fat during a year time of not working out, so a lot of it is muscle memory while eating less

I did it at the not-so recommended age of 45yo. Why not recommended? Because it is fucking slow and you need to take care of the diet a lot. When you're young is different, your metabolism is fast and you just lift barely checking macros (although I suggest doing it consciously).
For me recomp is justified if AT LEAST you maintain your lifts (increasing the weights is debatable) while lowering body-fat. For non-naturals this sounds like shit, I know.
Took time, but reaching 12% BF at 63 kg (I'm 1,68 m height) while still managing 2PL8 at the bench was a good moment.

Yeah, got thinner and put on a huge amount of muscle in a year.

Yes. Recomp works but there's a hard core of retards who are so invested in it not working that you cannot possibly prove it To their satisfaction.

Just do it and see. What's the worst that'll happen? You'll get leaner and fitter, but it might be hard :(((

How did you get to be 45 without thinking for yourself or growing a spine? You sound like an absolute worm

Yeah it's going great actually. Not starving, training feels good, able to recover properly before the next session from not eating like a fag
