Ever since I found out I have high cholesterol I am no longer able to eat 4 eggs every morning like I used to. I'm doing tests to validate whether or not eggs are impacting my levels, but if they are it'll be egg whites for life.

Wasn't there a study where they compared the results of people eating the same amounts of protein but one group ate only egg whites and the other group ate the whole eggs and the whole egg group had results that were twice as good?

I mean... I don't know if they controlled for difference in calorie amounts, but eggs are some of the most nutrient rich foods that there is, and if nutrient variety matters in muscle development, nstead of just viewing everything through a protein amount lens... then yeah, eggs are very very good.

As has been mentioned in this thread already, eggs have all the nutrients inside them needed to create a whole little baby chicken, so it's just intuitive to think that they'd have a lot of stuff in them that helps humans thrive too.

I am so confused. I faintly remember always seeing raw eggs being praised either here or on /pol/ for having more protein and nutrients but lately the only answers I can find suggest, that its the other way around: that cooked eggs have more nutrients than raw eggs. Peas

Plus they have ton of fiber and keep you feeling full for longer. Just dump frozen peas to boil in a pot, put chicken in an air fryer and go shower after gym.When it's done and you're clean just season it and put some low kcal sauce of your choice / some other salad and voila you have a super quick meal that is mostly protein

Instead of burning your hands on trying to peal the shell of a boiled egg or slaving in front of a stove to make a bland slimy mess of a meal

My water boils within 2 minutes, while I put the chicken in the air fryer, let peas simmer as a I take a shower and change clothes and after it I take a plate, put chicken on it, some veggies and the peas are finished

Takes litetally no extra time like preparing eggs does, plus its more in volume and keeps you fuller for longer

For the nutrient choline, Google agrees, that raw eggs contain MORE of it.

For zinc, google says both contain the same, but absorption is better in raw eggs.

I dont get it, it claims that bioabsorption is better in cooked eggs for most, but better in raw eggs for other nutrients.

for omega 3 fatty adics, Google says cooking may slightly decrease the amount you get, but not substantially

Food hack: when mixing eggs to scramble or make into an omelet, spoon in some cottage cheese for extra protein. You can even fold more into the omelet once it's on the pan, if there's room. Adds a bit of fluff and protein in a subtle way that shouldn't bother the cottage-cheese-sensitive at all.

I know you're meming, but the protein in eggs, ovalbumin, is the fastest digesting protein there is besides whey and hydrolyzed whey. proteins differ from one another in digestibility and bio-availability. if you don't have access to whey, eggs are the best form of protein as pre and post workout because of their relatively rapid speed of digestion and bio-availability.
