Can someone look at my X-ray?

I've also had a CT and MRI.

Bone spurs and some bulged discs, one is moderate. Got it done last fall, when should I get another?

I had an epidural steroid injection which helped some with the neck pain.

However, I have T1, T2 upper back pain pretty much all the time and don't know what to do about it. Tylenol ibuprofen and muscle relaxers help and sometimes tropicals

Been going to chiro and it has helped my posture but I'm still in pain.

Anyway if you got any experience with neck issues I would like to hear it, thanks.

Tbh, I don't really know what the non-surgical option for joints when they get into the lower-cervical / thoracic area. You could look into some neck traction devices, or even maybe a inversion table. It would mostly be to help with the disc bulging, might provide some pain relief. The degenerative stuff would be up to the doctors though since there probably isn't a therapeutic solution to that. G'luck anon

There appears to be some narrowing of the intervertebral disc spaces, especially in the lower cervical vertebrae (around C5โ€“C7), which might suggest degenerative disc disease.
There might be small osteophytes (bony projections) at some levels, again indicating cervical spondylosis, a form of arthritis due to wear and tear.
The vertebral bodies themselves mostly look intact and without obvious fractures or collapse.
There doesnโ€™t appear to be significant subluxation (displacement) or dislocation.
Not clearly visualized, but no gross abnormalities are obvious in the posterior structures of the spine.

Youโ€™ve done quite a bit right already. The persistent T1โ€“T2 pain could stem from:
Residual cervical nerve involvement
Thoracic facet or muscular issues
Postural strain that still needs deeper muscular balance correction

Consider an MRI of the upper thoracic spine and consult a physiatrist or spine specialist who can integrate all of this, imaging, nerve involvement, muscle imbalance, and customize your care.

military neck is a disorder, it has nothing to do with the military.

It means in laymen terms that the neck STANDS UP STRAIGHT.
and is lacking its natural kyphosis.

Well yeah dude, the neck has natural cervical kyphosis.
this is different than spinal kyphosis presenting in the ribcage.

My suggestion since I dealt with this over the last few years is behind the back chest stretches, scapula under/over hand clasp.

You just said you have kyphosis and I said yes. The neck should have a natural kyphosis.

If you back kyphosis I gave you two suggestions to fix it.

I recently decided to quit BJJ. Too much of an injury risk. After blue belt level, you've pretty much reaped all of the rewards as far as fighting an untrained person goes, and you're just destroying your body for sport jiu jitsu. After I found out that something like 90% of people who tear their ACL develop osteoarthritis in the future, I decided to hang it up.

My point more or less was that even if you "recover" from an injury, it's still not like how it was before, and can cause you serious problems in the future.
Were you doing any strength work for your neck? I trained my neck and never had any injuries to it from BJJ, could be just a coincidence, though. I found that getting strong at neck extensions in particular helped a lot with getting out of guillotine chokes

That sucks and is why I quit. You just can't trust retards with your body in vulnerable positions. Having a strong neck actually might've helped by having your neck muscles take off some pounds of force that would've been on your spine.
Muay thai is fun and I'm gonna start doing it again. Striking + a good sprawl and you will beat the piss out of most BJJ nerds who built their game around spider guard

Try some Ibuprofen and stretching for few days and avoid shrugs for 10 days, usually it should go away by then.

Start doing back hyperextensions starting with only holds to build muscle around your spine. Also I assume chiropractors are a scam and shouldn't be taken seriously. Try physical therapy.

Modic alterations means instability, which can lead so surgery in the future, not necessarily right now.
Disc space narrowing is irrelevant, your discs are just getting degenerated, as everyone else will have, but yours are just doing it faster. It might mean pain, but many aren't that symptomatic.
Posterior disc bulging and uncovertebral spurrs without canal narrowing means not surgery.
Foraminal narrowing without symptoms aren't something to worry about. If you have radicular symptoms, there is medication for that.
Canal narrowing, retrolisthesis are something to worry about, specially if you start feeling neurological symptoms.

Basically your spine doesn't need surgical treatment right away, but you must understand that it can become something that needs surgical intervention in the future.
Spine MRI is more or less of a meme if you are not thinking on surgery or interventional treatments. The basic treatment is based on symptoms, not on the exam findings. There is an increase in surgical indications without an increase in positive results by doing an early MRI and there is enough evidence to show that a huge percentage (about 50% in some series) of surgical indications would be equaly treated without surgery. If someone tells you to get surgery, without doing conservative treatment and without clear spine stenosis symptoms, or obvious and recurrent radicular pain, kill him. Cervical generally has better surgical indications than lumbar though, so take that in mind. You have to do the normal thing: strengthening, physiotherapy program, over the counter medication, heat bags to relieve your muscles and stretching. I would go to some spine physiotherapy clinic by now.

Need is a strong word. You might not "need" surgery based on the lesions your exam shows you. But if you are doing optimized treatment, 3-6 months in and you see no improvement and this is limiting your normal activities, then surgery already is a consideration, as pain is one reason to do it.

However, before the knife, you should try all reasonable alternatives as the chance of worsening your pain or something worse is not 0%.
