A better question would be why peptides aren’t (at least oral ones)

Are there any oral peptides for muscle building?
If so, how do they compare to steroids?

Creatine is a nutritional supplement found in food, testosterone is a sex hormone that modulates masculine physical & mental development.

Most peptides like this seem to be eastern bloc pharmaceuticals, so people are generally just unaware they exist. Even if they were domestic US, most people's conception of 'fitness drugs' is steroid injections anyways.
