I DL 5pl8 and squat 4pl8 and I don't have back pain, and I'm in my 40's, so I imagine it's preventable for many people.
I have no secret, just not being retarded. I have also not tested my 1RM in years. I do not take supplements but that is more out of laziness than lack of belief in their efficacy.
