My gym is within walking distance from my home, but the route is very sunny and humid. I’ve started wearing SPF 50 clothing and using sunscreen to protect myself from UV rays. However, I recently learned that many sunscreens contain harmful chemicals. I’m considering buying a proper UPF 50-rated umbrella for extra protection since I have pale skin and burn easily. Would it be considered strange for a man to use an umbrella on sunny days?

Im a bluecollar wagie and had to lay bricks, when im out i never ever wore sunscreen, granted, akways a sunhat and rarely longsleeve shirts. But since im outside and get the sun already in march, my arms and neck are very tanned when the hard sun comes in june, so i rarely get a sunburn and only very slight. But my arms even have a slight tan even in winter now. Is my skin in these areas already fucked? i had some skinmoles that were new, but the skindoctor said that they werent cancer. But i just hate the feel of sunoil, i detest it. I have ocd (legitimately) and i cant stand oily sensations. But when its 35 degrees celsius i just cant wear longsleeves. I use a fancy Japanese anti-UV parasol when I walk outside for a long time. Just don't buy it in some girly color and it's fine.
I also use SPF 50 sunscreen, I'd rather put "harmful chemicals" on my skin than have the rays inject literal cancer into my cells under the skin.
I've been doing this pretty much my whole adult life and I have better skin and fewer wrinkles than 99.9% of people my age.
