u're benching with delts idiot (and lats) and u iso hold your shoulder in flexion when u curl

holding your arm vertical loads front delt and that flexed delt is pinching long head biceps tendon switching it off

u gotta be extra careful with movement selection, i hug basketball to chest for biceps, and low crossover with protracted shoulder for pecs, interestingly hugging bulky object to chest also "does" rear delt apart from biceps
