Nevermind. I've researched it and I'm wrong, at least in part. In the UK and Australia, there seems to be a strong shift towards physical fitness. That said, other points are still: reduced in-person interaction, alcohol being too expensive, and a shift towards cannabis and other drugs. I can't really observe this phenomenon in Germany, though. Maybe it's our drinking culture or the fact that alcohol is still very cheap.

Millennials and Gen X are wildly more nutritionally literate and exercise conscious than boomers or Gen X ever were. We smoke less, drink less, but on the flip side we take more weird kitchen pharma drugs and we have a much larger obesity problem.

What this means is a lot of millennials will start dying off in the next 20 years, but the ones who make it to old age will be far healthier, fitter, and nourished than boomers and Gen X.

So we'll have a die off around 50-60 but the leftovers will be in a great place health wise.
