It's so much time to dedicate to a body that literally no matter what I do will eventually just die anyways, I could have a better body will I'm alive but the cost is all of my time just to maintain a body to experience a life that will ultimately end regardless of any hard work I put into my fitness

No
One thing everyone fails to grasp is that being born in the modern urban world, you're starting below grade in terms of health. You're already in the negative from birth because our lifestyles and diets are so poor.
A million years ago no one has to exercise but they were all optimal already just from their daily lives

Hmm actually I didn't really think of that way. You kind of have a good point. This was thrust onto me by an unfair society that should be destroyed completely and rebuilt after the vaccine kills everyone in Minecraft. I understand now

It depends on what gives anything meaning in the first place.
If you're an image-bearer of the the eternal God, living through time with an immortal soul, then physical health is one of the most important things you can pursue (with the right mindset)

it's about improving the quality of your life for as long as it'll last, what could possibly matter more?

The problem is the time it takes. Most in shape people are stupid because they don't have time to dedicate to other things. This is an objective fact. It's not just so simple as we have limited time on earth

My motivations for fitness are multifaceted, but the general framework is that I have a high degree of control over what my body becomes based on my conscious decisions.
I appreciate the elevated mood I experience after I complete a circuit.
I like reading about the body and its various processes.

I'm probably the furthest thing from a normie that you could possibly imagine. With that being said, I don't usually doom post like you did in your original post. If you're looking for motivation or something to start exercising, my best suggestion is to just do it for a few weeks and see how your mood is.
