>buy a bench and a pair of adjustable dumbbells
>cancel gym membership
>only do chest/shoulders/biceps/triceps
>no back or legs
>2 sets to failure
>still making gains and progressing weight
This is incredibly freeing. I'm completely disconnected from exercise/gym culture and training program autismos. I don't even have a schedule, I just lift weights whenever I feel like it as long as it's 4 times a week, and I try to increase weight almost every time.

I've already maxed out the 24kg dbs benching for 10 reps and I only bench 4 sets per week lmao. I may need to buy a bar and plates soon.

Same. I don't think I'd be so consistent with my workouts if I didn't have a cheap setup at home. I found the bench and loadable dumbbells when helping someone move and they let me have them. I want to eventually get a bar, plates, a rack and then a loadable cable attachment so I can do everything I'd ever need at home. That'll be for the future tho cos I'm still getting gains from the dumbbell and have enough plates for it that I won't be maxing them for a while

Dumbbell back exercises suck. Doesn't even feel like I'm working the back. Should I buy the dip thing?

I don't have room for bench but I keep two adjustable dumbbells loaded with different weights next to my work desk. Whenever I take a break I'll do the following sets in quick succession:
>20 pushups
>10+10 one handed rows
>10 goblet squats
>10+10 one handed overhead press
I average 3-5 of these each day. This has now replaced my gym routine.
