It is actually the opposite. I am eating clean and hitting my macros, yet I can only sleep 5-6 hours.
However, whenever I have a cheat day and eat 1000kCal of ice cream, I immediately fall into a digestive sleep.

When cutting = neck get skinner = better breathing at night = more efficient sleep

When bulking = neck gets thicker = worse breathing at night = lower sleep quality which body makes up for with longer sleep duration
