Why do we glorify these 3 lifts so much?

All are incredibly overrated.

The big three cover essential movement patterns of sports and general life(maximum carryover to sports, labor and aging)
They cover large muscle groups with maximum efficiency
Big compound lifts give large anabolic responses
Training a hip hinge, a vertical press and a knee flexion movement covers nearly anything you'll do
It's not surprising today you rarely see them in most commercial gyms because they aren't concerned with getting their customers any of those benefits
Noggers that lift for women/aesthetics/homosexual endeavors will dispute this but they were ngmi anyway and probably don't actually lift in the first place
Lifting is gay now and that's a shame

the big three are the big three because they weren't done in olympic-style weightlifting. that's literally it. there's no grand reason of biomechanics and they're not these godly essential exercises.

Let me guess
You haven’t made progress on them and so it’s the exercise’s fault?
Sour grapes?

Doesn't require as much mastery as Olympic lifts but requires some understanding.
Meaning it lets dumb people feel like wizards for understanding it and getting decent numbers.

They're literally omnipresent, even in fucking PF. People just do them with dumbells or fixed weight barbells.

Trips of truth. There is nothing those exercises do that machines can't match.

compound lifts hit several muscle groups at once. it's very efficient to do squats and deadlifts. OHP just feels good. that's why i do it. i think it hits shoulders more than arms but i don't really know.

olympic lifters aren't really famous or known for their physiques. it's celebrities like arnold that everyone looks up to and it's because of his aesthetics, not his PRs.

OHP was an Olympic lift at one point
I don't really think Olympic lifting is the reason they are the big three, it has never been popular
The big three will make you better at Olympic lifts, sure, but they can make you better at most lifts and activities
That's why they are glazed (and hated on) so heavily

I really, really hate spending time working out so I try to do things that get results in the shortest amount of time.

If you think wilks>physique you're overrating them.
If you think you'll get by without heavy compounds you're underrating them.
Both of these occur constantly so I'd say they're just rated.

What about a squat rack, barbell, and plates looks natural to you?
