Is rowing the most reliable sport for getting fit? The rower body >>> swimmer body, right?

i always wondered about the possible gains that could come from high endurance rowing since barbell and dumbell rowing exercises are great for back, id argue pullups or rock climbing beat swimming any day though for vertical back movements

i used to hang out with a few guys that were on my universities rowing team and they all had back pain. and this was at like 20-22 years old when theyre in their prime. cant even imagine how fucked their backs must be in their 30s

Depends on how you define fit. Rowing does give you god-tier cardio gains and is probably more accessible for most people compared to swimming. Either way you'll want to lift weights as well. Obviously, the reliability comes from actually working out >>> any retarded online discussion of what is best.

This isn't necessarily a good measure, competitive athletics is not healthy.

Are they on the same team? Why do all their uniforms look different?
