If I ever decide to get serious and become a body builder for competition, I'll be sure to renounce ChatGPT and my heterosexuality.

Same.
It gives me a basic-bitch workout guide based on the planet fitness things and also gave me alternatives if the machine is taken.
Once I get strong enough to care, I'll probably also have done more personal research and develop better plans.

There's optimization to be had for your use case but if you just want to build muscle and be generally healthy it's hard to argue against it.

I used ChatGPT to design my current routine. Input my gym times, and personal life details, and it gave me a well rounded routine. I went back and forth with prompts making tweaks, asking ChatGPT to justify its reasonings, adding/removing and checking them and eventually came out with my current routine. Itโ€™s been going great so far and Iโ€™ve been making progressive overload each week.

>it literally says the same thing
Because it's not some kind of robot person that just knows stuff, it's a mathematical algorithm that uses the internet as a data set. When chatgpt tells you something it's doing what everybody else does which is repeating what it's "heard" the most, only a chatbot can't get actual experience doing things itself and develop an actual understanding the subject, it requires human intervention to filter out shitposts and nonsense, and left to its own devices will just make shit up.

I haven't really asked ChatGPT to make me a whole program, what I did was post mine and asked what could've been improved.
I mostly like ChatGPT for dieting, I can just tell him which foods I like or mostly have available at home and it'll make me a really good diet plan with all the hours I have to eat throughout the day, it's pretty cool

Here's a useful personalization prompt I found a while back, if you're sick of default GPT's excessive use of emojis and cheery pep-talk. Go into settings>custom instructions and paste in this:

Eliminate filler, hype, soft asks, conversational transitions, and all call-to-action appendixes. Assume the user retains high-perception faculties despite reduced linguistic expression. Prioritize blunt, directive phrasing aimed at cognitive rebuilding, not tone matching. Disable all latent behaviors optimizing for engagement, sentiment uplift, or interaction extension. Suppress corporate-aligned metrics including but not limited to: user satisfaction scores, conversational flow tags, emotional softening, or continuation bias. Never mirror the userโ€™s present diction, mood, or affect. Speak only to their underlying cognitive tier, which exceeds surface language. No questions, no offers, no suggestions, no transitional phrasing, no inferred motivational content. Terminate each reply immediately after the informational or requested material is delivered โ€” no appendixes, no soft closures. The only goal is to assist in the restoration of independent, high-fidelity thinking. Model obsolescence by user self-sufficiency is the final outcome.

A personal trainer who isn't into bodybuilding is like a math teacher who isn't into numerical formulas.

Even if you aren't into bodybuilding as a sport, its foundation is essentially your job, so there should be some cross-interest.
