Getting a stomach bug and barely being able to eat more than 500 calories a day for a week taught me that simply not eating is the best way to get lean

Protein intake doesn't even matter obviously. I didnt even lose any muscle, and it only took me 2 weeks to get all of my strength back after barely eating for a week, but I lost a lot of bodyfat during that week..

Seems it really as simple as just not eating

Yes, not eating calories means that there is a lot less opportunity for your body to store calories as fat. You have a truly dizzying inellect.

starving yourself is fine if you're fat as fuck and your body can burn that but if you're a little overweight your muscles are gonna disintegrate

Nah its all hormones. Calories/Macros are over-rated.

Source: Plenty of jacked men around the world who have no access to high protein diet, who have no access to enough calories, yet still have muscular builds

This entire fear of losing muscle if you don't have a perfect calorie intake & perfect macros & perfect protein in-take is entirely a White-Western-Science-Based-Lifter concept
