>>76369697 (OP) the price gouging on pl8s and dumbbells post covid is pretty fucking crazy. i just started stealing change pl8s and small dumbbells from commercial gyms
>>76369710 I did that, small plates like 0.5kg, 1kg, 2.5kg are 40-80 euros for a pair here so i just went to some gym, paid 5 euros for a workout and stole a few Stealing 20kgs would be harder, but i'm thinking about it since a pair of regular cast iron 20kg's is 200 euros here. They used to be 100 euros back in 2021.
>>76369697 (OP) how about you read the product description before you buy things?

I made the exact same mistake bro. With foresight I should've returned it and got shit I could progressed with but I just got another one later like a cuck.
>>76369896 Warmup sets are a waste of time. Just use a lighter weight and skip them.

>>76369710 >the price gouging on pl8s and dumbbells post covid is pretty fucking crazy Yeah I just stopped buying them and stick to resistance bands and bodyweight shit at home. Some retards must still be bending over and paying the ridiculous prices because they haven't come down or only slightly.

>>76371167 I really like the lat pulldown machine though, but 90% of my workouts are just dumbbells even in the gym
>>76369697 (OP) It's $35 on Amazon. Not that you should shop there. I lucked out and got a new Amazon Basic 50lbs dumbbell for $15. They must have been getting rid of them as they're no longer a purchase option.

>>76371210 I always thought it was kind of retarded that people usually alternate dumbbell curls anyway. I did it myself and get why people do it, but it still seems dumb.
>>76374310 >>76374693 oh, I mean thats fine then, I do the same with preacher curls

>>76369697 (OP) Why the fuck would you not pay that for a gym membership instead. Unless you are spending a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars in a home gym, spending the price of a gym membership on a single pair of dumbbells or in your case, being bamboozled for a single dumbbell is retarded.
>>76374770 With a 40lb or even 35lb weight, he could do all kinds of exercises at home. Then there is no need to drive or walk to the gym where people could be using dumbbells or machines.

The ideal home gym progression is >loadable dumbells and plates. pullup bar >add plates as needed >olympic bar >power cage thats it. maybe a dip bar too if you want. everything is compatible and a scaleable investment.

>>76369697 (OP) I got my 30lb weights at walmart for roughly $1.25 per lb. I would recommend buying weights local retail so you don't have to pay the hefty shipping fees.
>>76378283 Once in a while Walmart will have a bunch on clearance. I was at one a few weeks ago and saw all their stationary bikes were half off, but sold out already.
