Why are speedrunning conventions and anime cons full of fat inept nerds even though the games they drool over encourage you to be the complete opposite?

The fat nerds are probably autistic, arrogant and have lack of self awareness

Games are escapism. They really only appeal to people whose lives suck (fatties, losers, etc.) Gaming is also a solo indoor hobby, which only reinforces the bad traits of the gamer (sitting around, packing on fat, avoiding social events etc.)

I grew up with anime and vidya and I wanted to look like all the buff protagonists so I started lifting weights in my late teens. Now I'm completely detached from nerds, nerd hobbies and nerd """culture""", since nerds are some of the most insufferable and pathetic people to be around. I still enjoy vidya though.
