I took my sharps container into the pharmacy for disposal, and buy some more Liver guard, which is milk thistle. The pharmacy person was a parent of one of the students I work with and she went to the school and told them I'm a drug user.

She has had her pharmacy license revoked and been fired, but she is telling everyone in town that I am a heroin addict and my boss is telling me I need to get drug tested before I return to work, and wants an explanation of what I use needles for. If I just get the hair drug test done by a local doctor within the week and it's all official, she will drop the issue and I will receive back pay.

The police came to my house and asked me to talk outside, saying they didn't want to enter the house in case they saw something that i didn't want them to see.

They told me they aren't going to act on illegally obtained information, but if i had any illegal drugs they would let me hand them over without charge, and would help me go into rehab.

Pretty sure the way drug tests work is they have to test for each individual drug. Most likely they will be testing for opiates, amphetamines, benzos etc.

Whether the hair test turns up anything depends on what you've been using, and what they're testing for. Most likely, all results will be negative, given that they'll be checking for drugs. I'm not completely up to date, but afaik, there's not a single broad-band test checking for drugs and steroids at the same time (fun fact: when I tried to get a PhD, that was a project I proposed... Supposedly, it's both to easy, and doesn't have a market).
As for what you need the needles for, I'd go with "health issue, and none of your business". Let them assume that it's something you're not comfortable talking about.

My understanding is that testing specifically for steroids is much more expensive than other drugs. The usual tests will look for opioids, cocaine, LSD, and other common illegal drugs. If you haven't used any of those, you should be fine. There should also be some recourse to fuck this bitch over if your drug tests come back negative. Slander is illegal everywhere.
