I rarely drink powder on its own, I usually have it with a smoothie. Most of the time I get vanilla flavor, but I'm not sure if unflavored is more versatile for recipes.

If you want to put more effort into preparing food, get unflavored.
I prefer fast and easy prep so I get flavored. Its that simple.

I get vanilla which I mostly use in oats, Sometimes ill just have it in milk which is nice too. Ill add coffee if I want coffee flavour, works well also.

avoid artificial flavoring for the sake of your taste buds

I recently bought some (flavoured) clear whey isolate, still haven't tried it but does any anon here use it?

chocolate tends to be most tolerable and goes with everything I would put in a milkshake

I alternate between the two myself. Obe has fewer additives and more protein per serving while the other is (artificially) tastier.

Flavored whey tends to have sucralose and other disgusting chemicals in them. You get better shakes tossing a banana in the blender.
