What do u do to get bigger arms?
I hate chin ups, the form just feels awkward and it feels like my elbows give up before my bicep is even remotely fatigued.
Pull ups feel much more natural and I can do more of them but they don't target the biceps as much.
So what's the solution? Do I have to do huge volume for bigger gains in calisthenics?

You could try isolating your arms

Weighted chin ups? Get a dip belt or a vest.

You will never have big arms from calisthenics, be a man and lift

If you have rings you could do ring curls for biceps and ring extensions for triceps. Not ideal but better than no isolation at all.

One arm assisted pull-ups was a game changer to me, strangely even clean and press with a 20kg kettlebell always give me a bicep pump. I am not much informed on human biomechanics or anything

pullups/chinups will get you bigger brachioradialis and brachialis, maybe some biceps if you keep your body as vertical as possible

dips/pushups/handstandpushups will get you bigger triceps, maybe bigger tricep long head too depending on how you do them

if you want to focus on bigger biceps you could try doing something like this >>76376371 and really focusing on your bicep on your working arm

>elbows give out

Bad form is part of it

Look into prison style exercise, Jesse Pawlak on YouTube is a good source.
Jesse does half reps in the deep part of pushups, chinups, and pullups to focus on the difficult portion of the exercise and increasing fatigue.

It's retarded to limit yourself without reason. Just do calisthenics + lift weights

this is the key thing, you can also keep your rest short and keep on cranking out reps until you can literally do only a rep or two. just remember good form

just get heavy enough dumbells and do curls?
and add other dumbell exercises
calisthenics main benefit is that you dont need a gym or expensive equipment
dumbells are not gym nor expensive

Do resistance bands not have the same effect? I'd hate to carry dumbbells to my local cali park

do pullups with neutral grip, which is least harmful to the joints and targets the brachialis (put hooks or gym rings on the bar if you only have a straight bar).

Then do curls with a resistance band to isolate and fatigue the biceps.

> Commando Pull Ups.
Targets the arms with the pull ups and your core, really good for building up biceps and grip strength for the fores.
> Wall Pike Press
Basically overhead press using the wall so it only targets your arms and shoulders a little as well as serratus anterior.

They are both very easy to rep out and recover from so great for growth of the arms, plyometric push ups like in-out push ups are also great for triceps as well as the cross arm push up which will involve the biceps some more. Try them out see how your arms react to them, the amount of control on these "easier" variations provide make chasing the pump so much easier like its a cheat code.

I've tried commando pull ups before and really struggled to switch from one side to the other. It looks so easy on these youtube videos but nobody ever explains how to actually do it
