Chemistry major, /fit/tard, med school applicant here. GNG = Gluconeogenesis, it's the process your body uses to make sugar from protein/amino acids. Twitter anon implies that protein rich/protein only diets lead to a catch-22 where your body burns your protein for energy meaning you can't build muscle efficiently, both because of the cortisol spike and because you're burning thru protein. An oversimplification of biochemistry but one that makes intuitive sense. Should you be worried? No, GNG/Keto do not restrict muscle growth, even if it's not ideal. Also, the cortisol released naturally in your body as a result of diet won't create a fucking stress cycle SOLELY the result of your intake.

Should you continue with keto? No. Just eat balanced so your body doesn't fucking act retarded. Have carbs. Have fats. They are essential to a proper diet. Complex carbohydrates from things like rice, bread, pasta helps replenish glycogen stores (rice being the most GOATED carb if you have a small stomach like me). Keto diets are retarded, as is any diet that goes out of its way to restrict an entire category of food.

Meanwhile I eat a cup of yogurt with 1/3 cup of oats after 2 chk breasts and a banana and almost never have to wipe more than 2-3 times. First is a doodoo check, second is for remnants and third is to tidy up. Poopa usually lasts about 2-3 minutes.
