Just found out supermarket bread is poison, is there a /fit/-approved way to make bread?

Just buy some wheat thats relatively unfucked with and add water and maybe butter then bake it.. its pretty easy

You can make super high protein bread by adding pure wheat gluten. I’ve gotten amazing results from mixing all purpose and whole grain for a delicious bread. The protein content in American flower is so low adding extra wheat gluten actually makes the bread taste better, and it’s pure protein. I have a bare bones recipe that barely tells the whole story but you have to experiment yourself desu. Took me about 6 loaves to get it right. Make sure to use parchment paper when baking

It's so much harder than "buy some flour". The wheat used to make your typical bag of flour is where the fuckization of US bread starts. You have to somehow get your hands on heirloom wheat flour, 100% whole grain like they grow it in European countries.

It's very expensive, and good luck getting a legit product shipped in without knowing what you're looking for. If this makes you angry, good. Every american should be angry about this shit. NOBODY in the states grows real wheat anymore. It's all fucked at the seed level.
