My girlfriend insists on ordering food from delivery services or getting takeout about 5 times per week, which is not only absolutely assraping my wallet, but also fucks with my gains heavily.
I am talking McDonalds, Five Guys, Dominos and a variety of asian places. I'm getting a good amount of protein I guess, but at this point all this sodium and grease makes me sick and the calories turned me into probably the fattest I have been for as long as I can remember.
We talked about this shit, I told her, look, I'm not saying we never go out to eat or order anymore, but maybe keep it to once or twice a week max. She said okay, but continues like always. Often times, it's just second nature to her, but after I commented on it a few more times lately, her excuse is that she is stressed because of university. Which is true, sure, but it's just that, an excuse.
I make an effort to cook more homecooked meals, but admittedly, I suck. It doesn't taste as good as the slop and I am sorry about that. But I can eat it anyways, I guess my standarts aren't too high, but she doesn't really touch that stuff. So she keeps fucking ordering shit. I am slowly but surely turning skinnyfat and, this almost pisses me off more, am absolutely bleeding money.
Did any of you guys have to deal with shit like this and how did you snap her out of it? Or forget about her, how do I just retreat from this? I appealed to the money aspect, I appealed to the health aspect. She says "you are right", then continues to do it.
Should I just categorically refuse and we eat separately? But I already know this will backfire, because her sensitive ass will find a way to be hurt by it.
For fucks sake, I can rant longer, but I have to stop myself here.
