I do pullups and chinups, and even weighted versions of these lifts

But sometimes I do pulldowns, at my gym Ive always of found pulldowns to be pretty hard, the stack goes to 300lbs, but i cap at around 200lbs, despite the fact my weighted pullup is like 260lbs for reps

So I thought maybe im just weak at a pulldowns...........but today I went to a different gym since im out of town, and I did pulldowns on a different pulldown, and I could max out the entire stack of 300lbs EASILY, the 300lbs on it feels half the weight of the 200lbs I pulldown at my normal gym.....

Now I understand why machines are a fucking meme, the weights you lift on them make no sense

>simple machines how do they work?
One lat pulldown had an extra pulley in the chain which halves the load

There is this one set of cables at my gym with like four pulleys, I can do face pulls with like 150 pounds on the stack. I don't know what the point of that is.

Leg Presses are like this too.

At one gym I can do 10 plates on each side for 10 reps

At another gym I can only do 4 plates on each side for 10 reps

Both are 45 degree Leg Presses, just a different brand

Let me clue you in lil gup: the number doesn't matter, only how hard it is.
