What is the appeal of cave diving? Is it fun? Are there chances of finding buried treasure? Are there cool rocks or animals in those caves? If an activity has such a high risk, it has to have a high reward, right?

There's some truly spectacular scenery underground, which normies never get to see. It's also fun as fuck climbing through a bunch of rocks to get to it - not all caving is tight squeezes. Cave divings a special kind of insanity, but imagine all the above but gracefully flying through a cave instead of climbing it. Thats cave diving.
T. Trained cave diver, though I stick to regular caving now.

Caves also have a lot of cool shit. The point isn't the tight spaces, it's that you have to go through them to find the larger caves with the cool shit inside them and making the holes wider just isn't an option (as it could cause the network to cave in).

it's called "developing" a cave and it's done pretty extensively in show-caves; cave-ins are a real risk doing it depending on local roof support conditions and how fractured nearby rock is. for wild caves, it's unfortunately more common to just seal off a very tight section once someone dies in it.

if you've ever walked through a huge-ass metal tube into a "show cave" it's 100% because the entrance collapsed while trying to blast open some tiny gopher hole in the "development" process.

You can definitely cave at 200+lbs if you just avoid really tight squeezes; they are usually not a good idea for small people anyway. Some caves like Mammoth caves have really huge passages you can comfortably walk in for kilometers.
