> Already 35kg lost (77 lbs)
> 6 more kg to lose
> Completely exhausted

How do you deal with that ? Sometimes it feels pointless. Is life constant struggling ? Even if I lose all the weight, I would have to maintain it. And if itโ€™s not about fitness, there will another thing in life that will make me struggle

You do a maintenance phase for 2 weeks and then start cutting again.

This x100.
Mental fatigue is as valid as physical fatigue. Do some maintenance, get some energy and go into a cut fresh.

The rule of thumb doctors tend to use is you'll need to work to maintain the weight loss 1 week for each pound lost before your body resets homeostasis at the new weight
Maintenence itself is easier than losing so there's that
Then it'll be noticably easier in 18 months or so, keep up the pressure and you'll make it anon
It sucks but worthwhile things always are hard

This is why I do total body cardio, that way I have too much energy to sit still.

What if I immediately hop onto a surplus to try to bulk?

You would gain easier but also add fat easier
Bulking after a long calorie deficit primes you for fat gain
It's the dreaded yoyo dieting that fatties do where muscle is lost during the heavy deficit and then fat is added back in its place on the weight rebound

mm that does make sense. I'm not OP btw
I've lost 13kg on a 500kcal deficit with about 130g of protein per day while lifting to avoid lean mass loss.
I don't know if that'll be enough for me to be able to hop on a decent bulk after I lose 5 more kg, or if the advisable path is really to maintain for lmao 36 weeks

I'm hitting a similar point brother, I think we gotta go maintenance now.
Its such a cruel joke, the goal is clearly in view but the body is completely exhausted. I had no idea how exponentially hard it is to cut under 14% bf compared when cutting straight from 35%. It's insane
