What are some things you guys noticed about being in good shape? Not obvious shit like "I feel better"
For me, it was nice remembering how nothing in my daily life has been particularly heavy for a while. Or when I do need to move something heavy, I have a better understanding of leverages and what not
Also, understanding the basics of nutrition can be handy when you need food on the go. Being able to pick choices that make sense for the context without feeling constrained by sticking to a perfect plan. Don't get me wrong, I still track food and eat with purpose
Even just watching people go up/down stairs or walk around for a while. It takes them effort
Any others?

Went from 26,3% to 23,1% body fat. I have the impression that women don't glare at me anymore and they don't seem to get repulsed from me too. But this might just be placebo.

Yes, I have found the same thing. Now that I am muscular, people seem to take me more seriously. This isn't a direct causation, more of a correlation. Once I became /fit/ my confidence increased, in return my credibility increased also. But that's pretty standard for most guys who get in good shape

I understand. I'm the "lifting guy" of the group, even though most of us are active in some way. It's nice to feel valued enough for people to ask for your opinion on things. It's also nice to have conversations with people who are into fitness as much as you are. Maybe you'll learn some things you didn't know

I don't know where you live or what scene you're into, but the guys you gotta watch out for in the moshpit are usually the shortish stocky day laborer types. I'm 5'11" 1/2/3/4 pl8s but only 190 lbs, so getting a cheapshot from one of them can land me on my ass. But because I don't neglect my cardio, I basically don't take songs off unless I think they're really bad, whereas other guys are sitting out every other song or whatever because they're gassed.

I can easily imagine myself vaulting over most walls or railings with minimal effort. It opens up way more options when it comes to traversing the world if that makes sense. I can' climb up things, drop down from greater heights, etc

Lifting makes me feel great because the more effort/thought you put into it the more it gives back to you. It's a really fair activity and this fact makes me a more positive person.

Downside of becoming fit:
When I even think about lifting or running my heart rate and body temp shoots up like it's conditioned itself to do that.

Based mosh/pogo enjoyer. 3 days ago i’ve been yelled at “quanto cazzo sei grosso (you’re so fucking big) by the singer in an industrial/goth event. 3 hours pogo/mosh without breaks. The only problems is that it’s hard to do it with platforms shoes and now i got calf doms.
I’m just 178cm but built like a shit brickhouse but when i find other big dudes is so fucking awesome.
On an unrelated note i attract lots of normie basic girls but seems almost invisible to alt/goth girls wich sucks because those are 100% my type

I have the opposite problem: I absolutely hate goth girls and I just want a normie gf. But I do look very unassuming, I never "dress the part", girls are fucking weird, man.

PS got any cool lesser known Italian bands to rec?

Things I do are automatically cool. I could skip everywhere if I wanted.

You can do physical shit if that doesn't go without saying, like lift appliances and chop down trees.

I was massively overweight due to some medications I was taking. I lost about 100 pounds in a year and it was really beneficial for my mental health. I was no longer constantly tired. My stomach didn't spill over my belt line and I didn't sweat all the time. I have no idea how fat people just go through life being fat and not even trying to take steps to remedy it. It's just so viscerally uncomfortable.

I was in the same boat as you. Didn't become morbidly obese but I was 265 at 5'6 17-18yr old. Good thing I wasn't online the same way I am now, then I would've thought it was truly over. I was put on risperdol, among other older gen antipsychotics. Now I take Latuda and I haven't had problems with weight since I lost it.

Currently 5'7, 185-190 lbs

Here’s something small no one talks about. Things are just easier when you’re stronger

I was putting a full pint glass to my lips and noticed how much lighter it was. It was never “hard” but it was a neat way to “feel” how much stronger you’ve become. Bagged groceries, moving furniture, or even just putting dishes away, they’ve all become noticeable lighter and easier

>I still track food and eat with purpose
Can't relate, was always a skinny nigga so now I am actually more scared of disintegrating if I don't eat a shitton of food than before. I still try to eat healthy shit but I now supplement with cheeseburgers on top of the healthy whole food base.

I guess what's nice is just noticing the benefits of cardio. Like just not getting tired very quickly, better dick function lmao.

The funny thing is I absolutely hate getting sweaty and hot, but now I love doing it in a controlled exercise context, knowing I'm increasing the amount of exertion required to get hot and sweaty.

Also what exercises do you think are best for pogo/mosh other than skipping rope and squats?

Totally. Kinda touched on that when I said "nothing has been particularly heavy". I think about the people who struggle moving 40-50 lbs bags of dog food or cases of water

If you have a 1000 pound total, and can run a mile in under 7 minutes, you are basically superman compared to the average person. Anytime my friends or family move, the guys around my age all start huffing and puffing after anything remotely heavy, while I barely break a sweat. Most people will respect you more as well, whether they realize it or not. Also women will actually flirt with you without you outright hitting on them. This took me a while to notice since I was fat and ugly for a long time. I just thought these girls were being autistic until I realized it was flirting. For example, a cute chick in a group I was doing a tour with planted her ass in tight booty shorts right on my crotch when we were in an elevator together, and she kept it there until the doors opened and I just thought she was being weird and didn't do or say anything and just ignored it.
