What are the best foods for your overall health? I've eaten like shit for years, and I want to turn my health around in order to not die by the age of 50.

Kinda. I know you should avoid sugar entirely and (probably) red meats.

Well just take it one step at a time. Jumping immediately headfirst into a different diet altogether is a recipe for disaster.
Start off simple. If you are drinking sugary drinks on the daily, then cut that off immediately. That and increasing your general daily activity is the basic steps anyone should take, since it is extremely easy to follow. The rest can follow in due time

Thanks for the advice anon. I'm also sedentary as fuck, so I'm going to start with some light lifting and cardio. What initial routine do you recommend?
t. has a very rudimentary free gym in their apartment

For general health, focus mainly on cardio. The rest of the gym stuff is fine if you want to play around with it, but for tangible changes in your body and overall health, go for cardio. (Not to say bigger muscles dont contribute to health. They do. But again, baby steps.)
Speaking of steps, pick your cardio machine of choice (bike, treadmill, etc) and just spend time on it for now. Preferably you dial it just enough so that you arent huffing and puffing while doing it, while still being a workout and not just a stroll. That should be good for week 1 and 2.
Also huge disclaimer; NEVER and I do mean NEVER, consider calories burned during cardio when thinking about food. This line of thinking easily slips into
>well I walked on the treadmill today, I deserve a treat
when in reality you maybe burned 200 calories and now is consuming a 800 calorie burger. Remember the old adage, 'you cannot outrun a bad diet'. Cardio is still great for bodily functions, increasing your metabolism, etc, just dont expect to lose 20 pounds doing it in one week

its literally genetic and pre programmed. the longest members in my family who lived to 100 or near that or over had the worst diets ever. Im talking home-brewed alcohol, bread and sausages. zero micronutrients, zero exercise, nothing.

you cant really make a change yourself

"overall health" is too vague to properly answer your question, be more specific next time.

True. That definitely plays a factor, but I've been reading about the dramatic rise in gastrointestinal cancer in young people and it's almost certainly due to the amount of shit kikes put in our foods. Shit's scary and I don't wanna die young. I really enjoy living

Go to the grocery store. If a food comes in a sealed plastic bag, it's not really food and should not be purchased. Most of your grocery shopping should happen in the produce and meat departments.

Unfortunately like, all of the food in the shops near me are packaged in plastics. And I'm poor as fuck so I can't afford organic shit.
