Competed in powerlifting in HS (took 4th in state bc not a Deadliftcel), but I always used school-provided belts. What brand of belt should i buy for my personal use?

I have an Inzer but if I was buying one today I'd get a Pioneer for the quick+fine adjust lever. Haven't actually tried it.

Buy a rouge. 13mm leather. Picrel. Itโ€™s pricey but youโ€™ll never have to buy another one (assuming your dont turn to a fat fuck and outgrow the size you buy).

I personally prefer the one with the lever, really keeps you strapped in.

There was a brand on amazon that made 3inch powerlifter belts so that it feels more comfortable than 4inch standard belts that might dig into your ribs

Inzer is the gold standard. However I like Pioneer lever that is an on the fly adjustable plug-in to standard lever belts, and also their regular training belts with the zigzag hole pattern.
13 mm is an overkill, investing in a good 10 mm lever belt is a good idea if you aare semi serious with your lifting. I guess you can source some second hand belt from ebay or even cheap chink stuff from Amazon even, the quality of the lever is what makes or breaks one however. Avoid double prongs at all costs, if you think you'll be smart and save money by buying a single prong you will find yourself hunting for a lever belt in short notice.
You may also need a less meaty training belt, for which I would recommend the Pioneer.
I'd avoid the tapering designs, go for a four inch wide model if you are an adult male

To add, Rogue also carries a beautiful brown version of the Pioneer belt but it is more costly of course. I'd save my money for a squat plug and go shop from Pioneer itself, they do have some sales, factory seconds, etc.

I'm putting together a home gym and literally the only fairly priced things Rogue sells is their barbells. Every single other line of products is absurdly inflated in price all I can do is laugh at them. Racks, benches, plates, everything I looked at.

The lever will fail, they always do.

I think youโ€™re better off getting a generic lever belt then replacing the lever buckle when it inevitably fails.

Pioneer by General Leather Craft or bust. 1/2" adjustments because your body varies in size throughout the year, and even throughout any given day. Get the whitelabeled one from A7 if you need it for competition.

It bothers me to no end that Zoomers in this generation have access to literally the entire corpus of human knowledge at their fingertips and literally all of them have been using the term point of view incorrectly. I think it's probably on purpose at this point.

Their reading comprehension and attention span is ruined. My internet activities have always been long(er) format text or videos about specific topics. I have never considered myself a reader, I don't really read books.
Compared to zoomies that have spent the last 5-10 of their formative years scrolling 10 second reels however I might as well be a fucking wizard. I skim text 5-10x faster while also grasping the context and meaning of any text piece instantly.
I know all this because I am dating zoomers. Many of them have reading comprehension comparable to the slow kid in middle school, they miss any context or implied meaning that's not stated explicitly and they also unironically believe AI summaries are a good source of reliable information. I think the latter is the most critical, growing up before AI was a thing meant you were forced to skim and extract information rapidly from multiple sources then you had to re-synthesize everything into a coherent piece of text.
