if you lift all the time constantly in the gym for no reason then yeah, depends on what you want. do you want to just be good at random lifts like a powerlifter? do you just want to puff yourself up with lots of carbs and pull sarcoplasm into the muscle? do you want to be a roid tranny? or do you want to build actual myofibrillar and real muscle tissue. those all are varying degrees of stress obviously but most people want to train to get big, but they do a bunch of useless sets and reps pumping glycogen in the muscle that deflates after an hour of rest, your not building shit doing that and your aging your body for nothing
