You'll realize biceps are a functional muscle.

Grip > hamstrings > biceps > quads

I've worked in construction and it's always been easy as fuck when it comes to picking up shit and moving it around all day.
Using tools and whatnot might be tricky at first but the strength and endurance of a construction worker aint shit next to anyone who lifts and does an endurance sport regularly

I feel like bodybuilding taught me how to rely on my muscles isolatedly so that might also be the reason too
or we hve a different version of construction in mind

Depends on the type of construction. For alot of them the hardest thing you do all day is hold you arms over your head. If youre a drywaller or brick layer though rest in piss.

I've been doing a lot of landscaping and it's that not bad.
I was shoveling a half a ton or more of rocks and dumping them off in a wheelbarrow. The only problem was the 108F temperature.
I was digging up dirt and rocks up as well and trying to separate them. I used a sun screen as a sieve to shake the rocks back and forth. After an hour or so It gets tiring when you're shaking 15 to 20lbs of rock for a minute or more.

I worked at Home Depot for 3.5 years and never saw a single contractor who looked like Wes. Maybe because I never hung around the paint department. Most of the contractors I dealt with were either fat white guys or 4'11" hispanics.

People vastly overestimate the challenge of physical labor. Most of those guys are ridiculously out of shape because any task becomes easy once you understand the motions involved.

Yeah I've also seen the videos of "hard working Africans" being "stronger" than powerlifters but take that villager to a gym and he won't be able to squat shit. This is common sense.

Lel. I worked in an office for a decade doing everything from SQL, phones, physical network, security, payroll, hiring, managing, you name it. It was by far some of the most soulless braindead shit I've ever done. Coworkers are retarded, office gossip was like high school, and most of the day 80% of the people were pretending to work. Days dragged. I took less money (at first) to work physical labor outside and have never looked back. These office types were the same fags who look down on blue collar work, but were having mental breakdowns during COVID because they realized they and their jobs didn't mean shit and that no one actually needed them. You'll make more money maybe at an office, but you'll be a husk of a human.

I worked at a freakin cosmetic shop and having to reach the bottom of shelf's with precision to put items in was hell on my lower and middle back, that shit will destroy you.

Also they didn't have an elevator and all the products were on the 1st floor so you had to go up the concrete stairs with 50-100kg in ur hands
