I'm losing my mind, how long does it take to develop big lats?!
I still look like shit after 6 months of doing only pull-ups, neutral- and wide-grip pulldowns, chest-supported rows, etc.

>just started lifting
>why donโ€™t I have immediate results and look like someone that has been meticulously lifting for 10+ years????

You're probably not engaging your lats properly. A lot of people mostly just use rear delts and arms in pulling movements. You need to figure out how to squeeze the lats, literally just experiment with tensing your back muscles until you get it.

Weighted chin ups and wide grip pullups. It will take you at least 2 years to get strong at them tho

Learn to engage your shoulder blades, also do pullovers (with good shoulder blade engagement, nothing you do will matter if you don't engage your shoulder blades properly).

There's an angle when you're doing pulldowns that's between using traps/delts and pecs.

There's a technique when doing rows, keep elbows down and near body.
