Small bit of background: Dentist put in a filling 3 weeks ago which popped out after a week. He told me to come back to refill.

He never told me, but the second time he used amalgam. The filling felt "frayed" when my tongue touched it and for hours after I kept spitting bits of amalgam out of my mouth. I went back to him and he gave out to me for biting down (which I didn't do, and he didn't tell me not to do) and poked around and said it was fine. 3.5 hours later (he told me not to eat for 2 hours) I had some soft food and afterwards realised that the filling was gone and I swallowed most of it.

I have a weird feeling in my throat and nose.

I rang 111 (I'm using NHS in the UK) and they did show some concern but a retarded doctor eventually rang me back and told me everything was fine ("They wouldn't use amalgam if it wasn't safe")

Is my health fucked? What should I do now?

They put lead in amalgams and it leaks into your gums over time lmao. Check your blood for that but otherwise you'll probably be fine. Also never trust d*ntists. D*ntists are worse than pedophiles and niggers combined, these are the lowest scum that inhabits the Earth.

The lead in amalgam isn't in an activated, dangerous form. You'll shit it out in a few days.

I live in fucking brasil, even we control mercury amalgam very closely, when i was a kid i would get made on site mercury amalgams but nowadays they're pre packaged and soon to be forbidden to make sure of no poisoning.

The old amalgam fillings bonded better to the tooth, were more resilient and lasted twice as long as the white quartz fillings, and they oxigenate on the outside thus protecting the tooth better from bacteria and further cavities, but they're unsightly and possibly toxic. I have 30 year-old amalgam fillings still holding on while white modern fillings crack or fall after a decade at most. I would choose those old fillings over new ones any day.
