Why do these things smell so fucking bad? I have no problem with old sardine tins or other fishy smells, but these whirlybirds make me wanna vawm.

I unironically eat this a minimum of 4 nights a week.
For like $9 canabucks a chicken it's kind of stupid not to.

It's even cheaper to cook the chicken yourself, but I do buy these sometimes out of convenience.

my local grocery store sells rotisserie chickens and they just take the same stuff they sell at the butcher counter and package them to order(in metallized bags so no plastic contact either).

I did this in highschool my Junior and Senior years when we could leave for lunch and there was a Costco next door, the chicken I didn't eat I had to toss. I did track at the time, went from 6'4" 145 lbs to 185 lbs in 2 years. We lifted once per week for track, but I liked it and did it extra (all bench and arms because I was dumb). When I graduated highschool I could bench 275 lbs but only Squat 145 lbs. My Squat is still very close to my bench, but fortunately higher now by a bit. Still eat 1 Costco chicken per week in a day

Most grocery stores as far as I know near me don't have a real butcher, they've got a deli you can see where the guys slice up the meat (sometimes) and then the raw meats emerge from the back, and are preweighed, pre broken down, and thawed. Sometimes if it's busy or early morning the meat will still be partially frozen which gives up the gambit. I genuinely don't know where to go around me that I could see a guy break down a carcass. The food situation is hell unless you're in a ritzy area or actively integrated into farming somehow.
