These say they can hold 300 lbs. Surely they can hold more right?

Absolutely. I wouldn't even bother to bolt them to the floor. Just put some cinder bars on the base.

It's made from chinkalloy, 95% of them can hold 1000lbs, 4.9% can still hold better more than the spec, 0.1% will randomly fail at 200lbs and kill you after 100 fatigue cycles.

No. The pins are the weak point. The second model's have 2-3x the diameter (4-9 the cross section).

>namebrand charging over $300 for a squat stand
lol, lmao. Titan isn't even considered high quality among the dedicated fitness brands. The uprights are 2x3 instead of 3x3 for no reason, which will fuck with compatibility with some attachments. They could at least come with spotter arms, not that you need those for bumpers but would still be nice.

Buy a set of 3x3 metal uprights + appropriate pull up bar, set of j-cups, appropriate bolts + fender washers + nuts, a single standard, non-economy 2x4 + handful of lag screws.
Pre-assemble 3x3 + pullup bar, tie into exposed wall studs in garage with 2x4 sections. If studs aren't exposed, buy an extra 2x4 to tie the studs+ 2x4 braces together. Bolt the 3x3's to the ground.
You'll be in the hole around what a decent squat stand costs, but can grow it to a full power rack overtime if you want. Just don't use it without bolting the uprights into the floor.

I saw that too, seems insane to me. I rather not play with that shit and get something quality especially if I'm serious about lifting. My impression is that Clarence is a cheapskate/thrifter which is fine for wrist straps, platforms, or weights and such but I wouldn't risk my life with a shoddy squat rack to save a couple hundred dollars.

I've actually spoken to York about their weight limits. I've been using their equipment since the 90's. They say their designs are tested to 125% of the weight limit they state on the product page. So technically these can hold 375lbs. Having said that, it's called a safety margin for a reason. I wouldn't go much above 300lbs using them

The weak point will be the hardware. If you're not going to be adjusting them, replace those pins with grade 8 bolts. Replace the bolts used to assemble it, too.

they will hold 3 tons easily bot, i told u already here:
>>76449781
but they will be wobbly when u put your 300 pounds back on it, because base is not wide enough and at some point whole thing will bend and collapse when u put weight back and with added momentum all of it rsts on one support momentarily before it settles

and it's completely beside the point as NOBODY, AND I MEAN IT NOBODY WANTS TO SQUAT, they might think they want to squat but they are mistaken

You don't need a full cage, but I wouldn't accept anything less than picrel for a home gym
I'm not a powerlard so I am never lifting enough to actually get close to snap city or major failure, but I'd rather stay safe even if the safeties never see real use
You don't buy a gun expecting to use it, but if you ever need to, you will regret not having one
And of course the built-in pull up bar for rings

In the US, we have 99% seatbelt usage, but about 50% of the automotive deaths every year are unbelted. You would think that number would start going down, too, as the idiocy dies off, but enough new idiots are born every year to sustain that statistic indefinitely.

I should explain because you're going to be an absolute retard and REEEE about how they are.
SOME higher end gym stuff is supposedly made in the US, however even those items have several components sourced from China. For instance, you really think ball bearings for barbells are made in the US? lmao. With all the "US made" stuff, they simply slap together the final product. Nearly all companies will still outsource as much of the component fabrication.
Regardless, since OP is asking about the shittiest lowest end garbage, it is guaranteed not even remotely made in the US.
....
I decided to google it. York actually no longer has ANY manufacturing in the US for anything. So yeah. You're a fucking retard.
