You guys DO enjoy LISS cardio with your dog, right? There is nothing more /fit/ than hiking/climbing around on a rugged, rocky trail with your best bud. I have back injustices so running is not an option, and without a dog I would have never figured out how to get my cardio in without hurting my back.

Great for the body, great for the mind, and great for the soul.

If this is your dog I doubt you get any cardio, you're gonna get performance capped by your GMO dog who can't keep up with a large humans endurance
You'll be just chilling

False. On the Rocky terrain, he’s quicker than I am. A large dog is dangerous because one pull could lead to a broken ankle. This dog loves scrambling up rocks

That's because you're chillin and not doing any cardio, your dog is doing cardio

If you were actually going at a LISS heartrate pace you'd smoke your dog

>heart rate at 100-120bpm for 30-40 minutes
I think you drastically underestimate how taxing it is to hike up and down rocky slopes. It’s the equivalent of a stairmaster except it requires a lot more coordination. Good luck keeping up with a rodent

He’s just a small poodle you retard

Best friends don’t put a leash on eachother. My dog and I do enjoy going for walks though. I do not put a leash on her because my dog has impulse control and a high IQ. (Border collie and Labrador mix). I swear she is smarter than many humans. I have taught her commands with 3 reps and she knows it for life. Having a high IQ dog is not really for everyone though. Most people should not be allowed to own one because they need constant stimulation. As a neet I am uniquely qualified.

Bro, the harness is mainly for if he biffs it and stumbles off of a rock face. This way, I can just airlift him out of the predicament as opposed to him getting killed or mangled. It’s saved his ass more than a couple times.

For walks around the neighborhood he’s fine off leash
