i've done this a few times now over the last 5 years. my advice is do the refeed at least 5 days every two weeks. don't go over TDEE and keep the cardio/gym. also don't increase the weights as the caloric high will fuck up something in your body if you do so. increasing weights is for bulking not for refeeding stages.
not sure how common the above is but it works wonders for me. i'm on 14-15% bf now going back down to 12. should take about a month or 2-3 total with life and all.
refeeding is not a meme. you'll feel it in your hormonal state. expect libido and confidence to go trough the roof.
