Is junk food withdrawal a thing? I'm trying to fix my diet and I'm getting angry at the smallest things, which is unlike me. The removal of junk food is the only change I've made.

>which is unlike me
Its exactly like you. Dont ever try to convince people who you are. At least you are self aware and can decide to act on this discovery.

Yes food withdrawal is a thing. If you're used to eating shitty food your body craves the slop. It's why fatties can eat 2lbs of green vegetables and still "feel hungry" - they're not hungry they're just craving their addiction.

I used to eat mcdonalds probably once a week. I love this shit. But ever since I started lifting I just stopped going and I don't really miss it.
I love gains more.

All I know is the very rare time I eat it after dropping it years ago I tend to feel very sick afterward.
So its not surprising this poison would have a withdrawal effect.

I cook my own meals from scratch and eat clean - avoiding processed foods and using only raw ingredients. On the rare occasions when I treat myself to fast food like McDonald's or Burger King, I end up feeling extremely nauseous and fatigued."

This. I got so ridiculously sick of feeling like shit that I refuse to eat anywhere but home, or at least home cooked food. Goodbye, promotion. I don't care.

I'm addicted to bread. I can cut out EVERYTHING but bread. I dont know what to do. Substitutions didnt help, the keto options eventually get too pricey. I'm never gonna make it.

Now that I eat clean it’s almost unbelievable how shitty junk food will make me feel on the occasional indulgence. It makes me wonder how i could do it before; was I just used to feeling subpar or did i become desensitized to shit food to the point that I could tolerate it?

I almost envy people who can eat half a pizza and it’s just a normal day for them. I’d be on the toilet all night. Anyone else experience this?

You can make your own keto bread for pennies on the dollar of goyslop bread with sugar added because fuck you bread needs sugar apparently

yep, you gradually get desensitized to the shitty emulsifiers and preservatives and massive amounts of carbs/sugars.

What kind of bread? If you're just eating sourdough I think you're fine. If you're eating sugar filled pastries from the bakery then quit.

Power through anon, I'm at a healthy weight but have decided to cut out junk food because I realize I'm an addict and I feel so much better mentally since cutting it out. It'll be a rough 2-4 weeks but it'll be worth it.

I can still eat McDonalds, but I just stick to mcdoubles and chicken nuggets these days. love the fries but they just make me feel super full and crash.
if I eat more then like 1/4th of the recommended serving for a dessert I end up feeling sick.
pom juice is proven to fight addictions.
