Long hair only looks better with a certain type and texture of hair (straight or wavy).
I have curly-ish hair, and the longer it grows, the more it starts to look like a saggy afro. It doesn't look good. Granted I've never grown it longer than shoulder length for this exact reason.
Also long hair makes you look smaller by making your head look bigger.

I gotta keep it short or it gets tangled in this thing. Suits me best that length anyway. Some men look better one way, others another.
