What lifting do you do as a martial artist?

I'm talking about the ones that have been grinding one and are almost semi-pro tier, not bodybuilders that do boxercise once a week for cardio.

Not likely to find that here, maybe try /xs/. Weighted pullups, olylifts, and neck training.

I've been doing martial arts since I was 18 and in the army. Now I'm 35. I've trained in modern army combatives, muay thai, jujitsu, wrestling, western boxing, and Bojutsu.

My advice is that actually lifting weights and not doing calisthenics puts you in a major advantage over other fighters. I've noticed most fighters are dyels with no muscle mass that just want to be a cut as possible. That's fine because you're fighting smaller guys, but you're also smaller. I walk around at about 215 but cut to like 190. Basically it's the same:

> Lift heavy weights 3x4 times a week
> Do an actual program and not some BS you made up
> Get a nutritious diet with 1 gram of protein per lean bodymass
> Do 20 minutes of cardio after a lift day and do upwards of 40 on your off days
>Take a rest day once a week where you do nothing

You can actually just do martial arts for your cardio. I have a century bob and a 200 lb bag
