Why is it so difficult to get out of bed and get going when you wake up? Takes me hours until the sleepiness wears off.

Because you have trained your body to be like this. Set an annoying as fuck alarm and put your phone on the opposite end of the room so you have to get up to shut it off. This will fix your problem within a week

I retrained my body by taking pre every morning at 5AM for months on end. DMAA preferred. Eventually your body gives in and you'll just get up at 5. I stopped taking it a year or so ago but I still wake up at 5:30 each day if I want to.

you're probably waking up in-between sleep cycles and thus your body is disrupted. You sleep in 90 minute cycles so you should set your alarm to match when one ends. You feel better sleeping 4.5 hours with full cycles than 7 but wake up disrupted. Better option is to not even use an alarm and just see when you wake up naturally and get out of bed when you do so (if it's close to your targeted wake up time).

Because you have been set up in a world where unless you're the top 10% you can't win. There's such a thing as microaggression (though there shouldn't be), let's call this microdepression (which there should be). Going around saying you're depressed isn't the right attitude, you should always try to be positive and say you're positive, but what I am saying is an underlying chronic downer caused by the modern world is causing your issues in the morning.

Get better sleep by tracking your habits for two weeks and drink orange juice instead of coffee every morning
I just stopped drinking caffeine and my life is way better in almost every aspect
