Is swimming 3 days a week and going to the gym 3 days and resting 1 day too much?
Whats the perfect balance?
I want to join a swimming pool and keep going to the gym but I think it might be too much.

It depends on how long you're swimming for and what intensity you're working out at.

Half an hour of swimming.
And decent intensity at the gym I think. I usually go for 1 .5 hours but I would cut the cardio and go for only 1 hour.

Unless you're doing something like really intense swimming laps or something, then I would consider half an hour of swimming pretty leisurely. I think if you added another day of rest, then it couldn't hurt. But otherwise, if you feel good, just go with it.

I thought half an hour was a good time, I can do more if I can resist. I havent started yet.

You'll know it's too much volume when your lifts are weaker. If the swimming is intense cut a day, or even reduce it to like 20 minutes a session

My problem is that the pool I found is kinda expensive (80 dollars a month) so I would feel bad going only 2 days a week.
I could go 2 days to the gym but i wouldn ose my gains

So go swimming 3 days week, with shorter lighter sessions. Should be ideal for recovery from weightlifting.

I do that, still a DYEL though. I recommend choosing one to prioritize. Then, if you feel like you need an extra rest day, you skip the one you don't prioritize.

Ok, I think gym is more important, but Im bored of it so i prefer swimming.
What if I go 2 days to the gym instead of 3, but I spend 2 hours instead of 1. Is that better?

It all depends on what you can recover from, you can literally swim and lift daily if you can recover from that, just adjust the intensity of your workouts if it's too much.
